“Well Worth a Visit!”
2 night break in Feb in a big comfortable room with gorgeous sea view. From the moment we stepped through the door we were made very welcome. Nothing too much trouble - everyone who works there is really friendly and helpful. Excellent value, too. We ate breakfast and dinner there as easier than worrying about having to drive out; large lounge to relax in afterwards with plentiful coffee and tea plus board games and books. The leisure facilities (swimming pool, steam room and sauna) very good - we had the pool to ourself the first time we used it. Situtated in a beautiful unspoilt area of Cornwall but within easy reach of Plymouth - it rained one day so we visited the National Marine Aquarium (go there). Recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a family run hotel located in a lovely area with easy access to walks and the beach. It's not a boutique hotel and not pretentious (thank goodness) and we'll definitely go back. (Extract Feb 2012)
“Wow, What a Place!”
If you booked this hotel no way would you be disappointed! From the welcome from Helen, Mr Phillips in the Bar and Mrs Phillips, their sons and daughter-in-law and granddaughter in the dinning rooms all were very friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. Rooms clean and very comfortable with sea views to lose yourselves in. This is a place to stay if you don't want to go out and about as the lounge and bar areas are so comfortable and peaceful. Food was excellent with good menus to chose from, if swimming is your 'thing' then the pool is great. We will be back again!! Thank you for a great time.(Feb 2012)
“Great Value, Cosy and Friendly”
We stayed at this hotel for two nights in Febuary. The weather was glorious. the easy access to the coastal path makes it is a walkers paradise. Our wecome efficient and friendly. The room very satisfactory. The staff were first class and everyone seemed to be part of one big happy family and obviously enjoyed there jobs. Considering we were on a two night Groupon break I think we had an excellent experience and we would not hesitate to return in the future. (Extract Feb 2012)
“Fantastic Weekend”
Booking for a group of 12 of us for a weekend of scrapbooking was made to feel effortless from the start, and during our stay nothing was too much trouble. The bedrooms were comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean, the breakfast menu was one of the best I've seen for a while and the hotel looks impressive inside and out. It is particularly atmospheric in the evening. We enjoyed the fantastic sea views from the dining rooms and extremely comfortable lounge area, and the food was delicious! The pool, sauna and steam room are excellent too. We had a fantastic stay. Can't fault anyrhing (apart from not all bedrooms have sea views!). Already looking forward to next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay (Feb 2012)
“Lovely stay”
We were very well looked after and very happy. Thank you (Feb 2012)

The service also was great & nothing was too much trouble. The lounge is lovely to relax in, the sofas are soft &comfy. “Wedding Dream”
Last weeked we had our wedding at the hotel and we had to write a review to share what an amazing venue this hotel was. The food was of an excellent standard and we have had positive feedback from every guest who came and no complaints! The location was stunning and the hotel has amazing views from every room. A lot of my family stayed at the hotel overnight and were exceptionally pleased with the standard of rooms and use of pool, golf courses and other facilities. I would reccommend this hotel to anybody considering getting married here, you will not be dissapointed! Lastly I just have to mention the staff, who were all so warm, friendly and happy it made the experience one we will never forget and we will return for future holidays at the hotel for years to come. (Feb 2012)
“"Undivided Attention"”
I could say "Look no further if you are looking for a dream venue for a special occasion, relaxing break or holiday getaway"...I could say "The Whitsand Bay Hotel is the jewel in the Cornish Crown, a hidden treasure that provides a world-class view, historic architecture, superb grounds and hospitality seldom found at this level". But I want to share our personal experience of this venue... We first visited the Whitsand Bay hotel on a whim. It was a balmy October day and we were looking for a potential venue for a 40th Birthday Party. We were greeted with a warm welcome, genuine smile and the professionalism of Paul and Tracey who shared hot tea and coffee, an open fire and a wealth of experience as party planners. Their personal touch made us feel that we were their one and only customers and within minutes we knew that they would go the extra mile to make our day memorable. On the 4th February 2012, The Whitsand Bay Hotel was the splendid venue for my husbands 40th Birthday Party. Our friends and family travelled hundreds of miles, braving snow, fog and driving rain to celebrate with us. On their arrival, this beautiful venue wrapped them in a warm embrace and provided an ambience that could only be equalled by the tantalising food. The memories of this night will stay with me, as will the knowledge that it would not have been possible but for the discreet, yet meticulous planning that went on behind the scenes. From the gorgeous dog that lies outstretched in the vestibule to the beautiful stained glass windows that envelop the sweeping staircase; you will not find a more breath-taking backdrop for your special event. On behalf of all of our 70 guests, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for delivering on your promises. You are exceptionally good at what you do. Well done to all x (Feb 2012)
“Anniversary Getaway !”
We have just returned from a 2 night stay at the Whitsand Bay Hotel and we cant praise the hotel staff enough!! They were very accommodating, the food was EXCELLENT. Very cosy, relaxing and welcoming. We didnt use the leisure facilities but we did have a look and the pool looked very inviting, spotlessly clean! The coastal walks are breathtaking although it was cold this time of the year (Jan). We will defo be returning and highly recommend it to anyone. (Jan 2012)
“Fantastic!”
We spent 2 nights at the hotel and didn't want to leave! Staff were very helpful and friendly; food was superb and excellent value. Stunning location. We walked the coastal footpath in both directions-amazing views. Spa area is very good. Can highly recommend the massage and pedicure! Lounge area was great for relaxing in-lots of board games. We'll definitely be going back! We had room one - dual aspect-beautiful sea views. (Jan 2012)
“Enjoyable and Relaxing Weekend Away”
This Hotel in our opinion has an excellent position with amazing scenery.
The staff were all extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfasts were fabulous. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening then in the bistro on the second evening. We could not fault the food or indeed the overall stay.We would definitely return to this Hotel and have even recommended the Hotel to our parents. A thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing weekend. (Jan 2012)
“Birthday Extravaganza!”
A fantastic family run hotel where nothing was too much to ask for. The staff were so polite and friendly. The facilities were outstanding. It has to be one of my best birthdays ever. When we arrived at 7pm we were asked about table reservations so we didn't miss out on an evening meal. We then went for a swim/sauna/steam room which stayed open until 10pm. We woke up in such a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. The food service was unbelievable and it was all so delicious. Not a bad word can be said about the hotel and there were 12 of us that stayed. Definitely a place I will be returning too. Amazing views, coastal walks, staff, food and facilities. What more could anyone ask for. 5* for me! Sammy-Jo Rickard (Jan 2012)
“Fantastic Relaxing Stay”
We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It was lovely and exceeded our exoectations. The staff were all so friendly and anything that you asked for was delivered in a very short time, Loved the comfortable lounge area with lots of sofas, We loved it for morning coffee, lunch, (sandwiches were great) and also after our evening meal, we just went back to the lounge for coffee, The bedroom was lovely too, all very clean and the bed was good quality. For someone who suffers with back problems, hotel beds can be a nightmare, but I can reccomend this one. We will be going back as soon as we can. My husband enjoyed playing the golf, (right on the doorstep) and me, just enjoyed the coffee in the lounge and walks on the beach. Thank you to all who made ours a wonderful stay. (Jan 2012)
“Thank You From a Scrapbooker”
Just returned from a very enjoyable 3 days at this wonderful hotel, great location, plenty of opportunity for photos, fantastic food beautifully presented, the room I had (no 19) had absolutely stunning views and was beautifully furnished. I was part of a group of scrapbookers and were made to feel very welcome despite the amount of 'stuff' we came with! The pool, sauna and steam rooms were lovely too. Lastly I must mention the lovely friendly Owners and their staff, nothing was ever too much trouble. Personally I cannot wait to bring my husband down for a weekend, and I hope that we will return again as a group next year.Thank you again to everyone. Elaine x (Jan 2012)
“Exceeded All Expectations”
Friendly & welcoming staff, comfortable clean bedrooms & spotless bathrooms, gorgeous food (wonderful breakfasts set you up for the day!), lovely pool, steam room & sauna. We couldn't fault anything during our relaxing weekend break. The location of the hotel is great too - next to the beach & lovely coastal walks on the doorstep. Would definitely return - this hotel is a gem! (Jan 2012)
“Relaxing Night Away!”
Had a lovely nights stay for our wedding anniversary. Very friendly and welcoming, warm and cosy for couples. Good food and a lovely massage. Was only away for 24 hours but it felt like days! As there are no shops nearby we had to relax. Thank you and see you again soon (Jan 2012)
“Outstanding Service and Stay”
Best place we have ever stayed!! Went there for our honeymoon and got upgraded free of charge to honeymoon room with four poster bed when they found out we had just got married. Prices of food were fantastic and food was lush. Staff were so friendly and helped with every need. Lovely place can't wait to book again. (Jan 2012)
“Not Just a Hotel But a Great Eating Place”
We recently went to the hotel for a lunchtime meal, Other pubs and cafes in the area are very expensive so we were greatly pleased at the good value. The service was suberb and coffee was included in the price. This was served in the very comfortable lounge and we enjoyed a very relaxing and pleasant afternoon looking out to sea.The staff were attentive and the menu choice was comprehensive. Will certainly return (Jan 2012).
“Wonderful Weekend Break”
The hotel is in a fantastic location, once we arrived we didn't need to move the car all weekend as the hotel is a stones throw from the coastal path. The food was excellent and the Phillips family extended a warm welcome. A thoroughly enjoyable stay (Jan 2012).
“Consistantly Excellent”
Since approximately April 2011 I have been a regular weekly resident at this hotel. Over this period I have been witness to the exceptional care and consideration the Phillips family and their staff give to all comers. I have a choice of hotels in which to stay in the area, however I would not choice any other hotel as nothing is too much trouble. Staying at the Whitsand Bay Hotel is a complete pleasure. (Jan 2012)
“Post Xmas/New Year Relaxing Break”
We’ve recently returned from a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing two night break, at the Whitsand Bay. Although the weather was cold and gusty the Phillips family run hotel provided a warm and friendly welcome for our first stay. It was cosy and very comfortable at all times. Family members and staff were always attentive ... nothing was too much trouble. We particularly enjoyed the generous size swimming pool and the new sauna and steam room facilities. Our highlight however was the fine dining ... either Bistro style or A La Carte Restaurant. The cuisine in both was exceptional ... in our opinion exceeding the rosette award given! A good selection of reasonably priced wines was on offer too. We are not golfers and therefore cannot comment on the golfing facilities. Would we stay again? ... a resounding yes. (Jan 2012)
“Faultless”
My partner & I have just spent 2 nights at The Whitsand Bay Hotel, and what a gem! The staff and owners were all very friendly, and nothing too much trouble. We upgraded to a sea view room, and wow, what a view, well worth the extra. The standard of food is exceptional, and such good value for money, we ate in the hotel on both evenings, and there was such a good choice on the menu. The ambience in the whole hotel was lovely, and it was still decorated for Christmas, so that added to the magical few days. The swimming pool, steam room and sauna were an added bonus because the weather was unfortunately not good, which resulted in more time spent in the hotel than on the golf course. We will definately be returning soon (Jan 2012)
“Several Stays at Whitsand Bay”
We have now been to Whitsand Bay hotel 4 times, once last New Year ( 2010) and enjoyed it so much booked for this year again. We find the golf course nice for a short stay, but the reason we keep going back is the standard of the food and the fact that nothing is too much trouble for the staff. We have recommended the hotel to other golfers who have been and are going to return! That says it all (Dec 2011)
“Location Location Location with an atmosphere to match - Some very special memories”
We hosted our Wedding at the Whitsand Bay Hotel in December '11. If you're looking for a spectacular location, yards from the sea with excellent food, attentive staff and some great amenities I could not recommend this hotel more. The family who own it really care about your experience during your time with them, in what feels like their home. In terms of our Wedding nothing was ever too much trouble and for those of you looking for a Wedding Venue in South East Cornwall you couldn't go far wrong!! All of our guests left the next day after a superb breakfast feeling refreashed and appreciated for their business - We are still receiving rave reviews even days after. A visit to the Whitsand Bay Hotel is particularly worth it during Christmas time as their decorations are AMAZING! We cannot speak highly enough of this hotel and feel anyone visiting would walk away with nothing but affection. Thankyou to Tracey and family for an incredible day - We will be back!! (Dec 2011)
“Wedding December 2011”
In our opinion we could not have bettered this hotel for our daughters wedding reception. The staff are outstanding - nothing is too much trouble and Tracey is a true star. She managed the event from day 1 and was always there to offer advice. The Christmas atmosphere and decorations were stunning and the wedding breakfast food was exceptional. One of the staff even helped an elderly aunt dress for the day! These people go the extra mile to make your day go well. The back drop of the hotel is great for photography and the beach adds a new dimension - the photographers said it was the best lighting conditions they had experienced in the UK. Whitsand Bay Hotel its management and staff have sent us away with many happy memories and we will return there often to enjoy the wonderful friendly ambience again. The evening reception went on into the early hours and was the perfect culimination to a fantastic day. Cannot recommend this venue too highly as a wedding location. ( Dec 2011)
“Atmospheric and delightfully proud of old traditions”
Wonderful atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. There was a force 9 SW gale blowing giving us a feeling of refuge in a very substantial building with wood panelling throughout and a beautiful Christmas tree in the reception area. Totally relaxing and for those that crave a bit of old England this is the place with sea views as well. Agatha Christie novel territory. (Extract Dec 2011)
'Sunday Lunch'
I would like to say what a superb lunch me and my partner had today 13/11/2011, The atmosphere and the service was excellent, having requested sea view we was not disappointed, and was pleased to have a table by the window were we could enjoy the amazing views, we will be going back no doubt about it and will be recommending whitsand bay hotel to my friends and family. C Allan (Nov 2011)
"Booking Again"
We have just come back from a 3 day golf break with 6 other friends and what a great time we had. The hotel is set right on the coast with fantastic views of the sea. The owners and staff couldn't do enough to make our stay more enjoyable and the ladies that ran the 3 days Mixed Golf Competitions were fantastic. The food here was wonderful and there was always plenty of choice and as my husband and I don't eat a full breakfast we were offered bacon sandwiches to take out on the course. When we came in from golf we enjoyed a swim and sauna in the lovely indoor pool area and finished in time for afternoon cream teas.Wow! We had asked for a room with a bath and were given a family room on the top floor. This was a good size room with a double and two single beds with a separate dressing room. The possible only drawback being lots of stairs to climb but I suppose if the people staying are mostly golfers then you'd be fairly fit and agile. This is definitely somewhere I would return to (hopefully with less windy conditions!) thanks again for a great stay (Nov 2011)
"Our 2nd Visit This Year"
After a great family summer holiday , we revisited for a short break. No disappointments. The welcome from all the staff made the whole family feel very welcome. The food never disappoints catering for fine dinning thru to comfort food for my son. the wine list has got even better. The pool, steam room and sauna are all very good - very quiet and comfortable. A great location as it is off the beaten track yet stunning. The only disappointment was leaving! A quality family hotel (Oct 2011)
"Fantastic"
We book Whitsand every Christmas for a company do and have not yet been disappointed. Such friendly staff, always accommodating with any special requests. Food always reaches expectations, presentation second to none. You won't go hungry. Along with the amazing Cornish sea views, breakfast never disappoints. Great to wake up to after the night before! Not personally a golfer but those of the group who play rate the course highly, good for clearing the head next morning while the ladies chill out. Only very small criticism would be that we would like the disco at xmas to be a bit longer as we pretty much take over the hotel but we appreciate other guests need to be respected. Rooms all very clean, comfortable, most with great sea views. Tower room is lovely and very quirky, book it to find out why! Looking forward to this years stay. (Oct 2011)
"Great Lunch"
Visited for the first time for lunch today. Superb venue overlooking bay, with excellent value lunch. All staff were really friendly and helpful. The owners are obviously really trying to make this a place to remember. We look forward to staying in the near future. (Oct 2011)
"All I can say is WOW"
For about 2 months my wife ( as I can now officially call her ) and I searched the southwest for a venue for our wedding in September this year. We were a bit choosy as we wanted a place by the sea with incredible character and boy did we find it. Whitsand bay hotel located at portwrinkle in Cornwall is the most beautiful place situated in an idillic location , the views are stunning and thanks to Paul , Tracy and all the staff our special day was the perfect day. The food was amazing and very good portions ( unlike many places we have stayed at) the service was incredibly friendly and organisation was second to none. The rooms were spotless and very relaxing to be in with amazing sea views in the vast majority of them. We have been back a number times since including my wife's birthday in October and the owners and staff are now like old friends. All I can say is thank you ,thank you ,thank you, for making our big day one to remember forever. Mark and Claire Pinn (Sept/Oct 2011)
"My 40th Birthday Weekend"
I thought turning 40 was going to be a sad experience. But hey to celebrate it the way we did at Whitsand Bay Hotel proved me wrong. We stayed for 2 nights dinner, bed & breakfast. Upon arrival we were welcomed as if long term friends. Paul and Tracy (owners/managers) were so unbelievably accommodating and there was nothing they wouldn't or didn't do for us. Whatever we asked we got with no effort which was so impressive, that goes for all the staff working there (waitress/waiters, bar staff, green keepers). The golf course was in pristine condition and all staff were well presented and polite. The food was absolutely perfect as it was 8 years previous when we were there for my stag weekend. I had built this trip up to my friends/family and am glad to say that it again did'nt disappoint me or them. This is a weekend that will be remembered for a very long time and I am totally convinced we will all be going back there nxt year to try and conquer the course once more. I highly recommend this hotel/package to anyone who loves to play golf and enjoy a picturesque setting. I would like to thank the managers and staff for everything they did for us to make the stay as perfect as ever. (Oct 2011)
"What a Fantastic Part of the South Coast"
I stayed at this hotel for my brothers 40th birthday golf weekend. WOW. The whole experience was amazing, from the golf to the views to the hotel food. The hotel staff was about as accomodating as you could get, very professional and more than happy to help where they could. We went for the bed, breakfast and dinner option. I did wonder whether the options were going to be that great. They didn't dissappoint. If you are into golf then this is a must as it is by far the best course i have ever played and likely to play for a long time. The 18th hole will be talked about for some time. We had a see view room which was truly stunning. I hope this short review helps you make the right decision. (Oct 2011)
"Perfect Weekend"
We used this hotel for my brothers 40th birthday golf weekend, it was recommended by some who had previously used the hotel. There was alot of expectation after being told how marvellous it was. I have to say it was more than I could have ever expected, Paul and co were so friendly, helpful and accomodating its hard to put it in to words. The food was out of this world, the atmosphere was friendly all round. Nothing was too much for these guys. The view from our room was amazing and the facilities were all very high standard and very clean. Value for money is an understatement. The golf course was in excellent condition and very picturesque. It also presented a fairly challenging game of golf which in my eyes is great. This hotel is run exactly how a hotel should be ran, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by friendly bar staff and made to feel immediatly at home. In my eyes I would struggle to find a more accomodating hotel and group of staff, they have obviously all been trained to a high standard and continue their proffesionalism from morning to night showing no signs of tiredness considering the hours they work. I will definetly be returning and would recommend this place to anyone. Many thanks and warm regards. Mr L. Hallam (Oct 2011)
"We Loved This Hotel"
We have just had a 3 day break at the Whitsand Bay Hotel and had a truly wonderful time.
It is a family run hotel and they could not be more friendly or do enough for us. The food is delicious and the breakfasts are fantastic. We loved our room and incase anyone reads this I am not going to give you the number! My sister was also staying in the hotel but she was there for a week and didn't feel at all awkward when she was there by herself; on the contrary, she was made to feel very welcome and totally at home. The golf course has some unforgetable holes and if the first hole looks a bit daunting one can always take a cart, but at least one gets most of the uphill over at the very beginning and there are incredible views from the top. Suffice to say we have booked again for the same period next year. (Oct 2011)
“Great Hospitality in a Magnificent Location”
We spent a long weekend here as a group of couples. The guys golfing and the girls relaxing and being pampered. We were made to feel welcome and relaxed throughout our stay. The location of the hotel is second to none with incredible views overlooking the beach and ocean. We were lucky to catch some fantastic weather at the start of October which added to our enjoyment. The food was excellent and the service attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is over 100 years old and is very traditionally furnished adding in my opinion to it's character. It is constantly being maintained, the excellent sauna and steam rooms demonstrate the investments being made. The golf course takes you out along the cliffs and the coastal path and is a real challenge offering some breathtaking views. Thank you to the Phillips family you are the perfect hosts, I hope that I will be able to return soon. (Extract 2011)
“Perfect Wedding in a Beautiful Hotel”
We have just had our wedding here at Whitsand bay Hotel and it was a perfect weekend all our guests that travelled stayed at the hotel and commented on how lovely the hotel and grounds were. Our wedding day was just amazing Tracey and Paul and their hotel staff were brilliant and ensured our day ran smoothly nothing was to much trouble. The food was out of this world and there was plenty of it. Even the weather played ball. No words can describe how much we loved out special day at this special hotel (am sad to be home now) but no doubt we will be back soon. Thank you (2011)
“Want a stunning view and the best food in Cornwall? Stay here!”
Exquisite, sublime and delicious! The food at this hotel is 2nd to non. We stayed 1 night in a lovely room with a sea view, the shower room was newly renovated and was clean, bright and modern. We had a nice 5’ bed which was lovely and comfy and the room was beautifully presented. Went for a lovely swim in the very adequate pool and tried out the steam room and sauna which are both excellent. I cannot fault this hotel (Extract 2011)
"Relaxed Friendly Hotel with Fab Food"
We have just spent 3 days at Whitsand Bay Hotel with our little dog. The hotel is perfect for doggies and their owners, golfers too. The golf course is great, exceptional value and very relaxed tee times. The food in the hotel is probably the best you are likely to get - fantastic breakfast, (the best porridge ever!), and the evening meals are superb! the service is second to none and the views are spectacular. (Extract 2011)
"A Fantastic Weekend and We Will Be Back"
I attended a wedding here on the weekend of the 25th June. From the moment we arrived it was just a wonderful experience and so relaxed. I had the pleasure of staying in the tower suite and the views were just amazing. We decided at the last minute we would like to play golf and the manager Paul had it sorted for us, no fuss. Managment should be very proud of there staff, a lovely group of people... Overall it was just a fantastic weekend. Paul, Tracey and whitsandbay hotel team take a bow. (2011)
"Our Daughters Wedding"
Everything was just perfect from planning to leaving on Sunday morning. Paul and Tracy were very helpful right from the start and willing to fit around our ideas and timetable. The choice of food was excellent, not only for the wedding breakfast, but also for the evening buffet. All the guests said how lovely the food was. The Hotel is beautiful inside and there was plenty of areas to sit and relax. The sun shone and we could make full use of the lovely grounds and short walk to the beach. Both of which were an ideal backdrop for some wonderfull wedding photos. It was nice to have the Hotel just for the wedding guests, and those who stayed enjoyed their experience, it made the weekend complete. I would highly recommend this Hotel. Joyce and Nigel Amies (Extract 2011)
"Good as Ever"
We just had our regular stay here. In the Tower Suite, this time. Great views to the sea and cliffs. Comfortable bed and nice furnishing. Unusual layout: from the 2nd floor corridor the door opens into a room that combines bathroom, toilet and dressing room, with wardrobes. If you prefer privacy in the bathroom, choose a different room! The bath is quite small, so not suitable for bathing with your partner! Steep stairs up to the bedroom. More steep stairs to the roof, if you want to see the view from there. Food great, as always. (Extract 2011)
“Beautiful hotel, delicious food”
We went here for a family meal on Sunday. As a coeliac I often find it difficult to find something tasty to eat, but here I could have a 3 course meal! The chef cooked me a wonderful risotto! And for once I wasn't made to feel a nuisanceor fussy eater!! The atmosphere was really lovely and the view was simply stunning! I would definately reccomend this hotel and I will be returing with my family. (2011)
"A wonderful treat, I would like to repeat"
Just had a lovely one night bed breakfast and dinner at this gorgeous hotel. We had the sea view which was lovely and we were able to sit in bed and gaze out at the beautiful scene. The meal was delicious and served very efficiently by lovely friendly waitresses and the whole atmosphere of the place is warm and easy, inspite of its elegance and charm. Well behaved dogs and children are also made welcome and added to the atmosphere. This was a treat for us that we will definately be repeating. (2011)
“Endangered Species Found In Cornwall!”
Unfailing courtesy and superb food- all served with a cheerful smile - most rare these days. The willingness of every member of staff that we encountered convinced me that there are places out there that genuinley "own" the task of ensuring guests feel welcome. Our experience will make us come back here next time we are in Cornwall. (Extract 2011)
“Excellent location. Outstanding service. High quality food. Would rate 5 star on all levels”
My daughter got married on the 7th May 2011. From the day my daughter came to view the hotel she fell in love with the hotel and the amazing sea view and we booked the wedding that day with Tracey. Nothing has been too much trouble and they have met all our requirements. The day of the wedding all went very smoothly - that being thanks to Paul, Tracey and their team. The food excellent many thanks to the chef. All through the the day and night the staff were very attentive. Would recommend this hotel to everyone . I can not thank you enough. Fab hotel. Fab food. (2011)
“Another Great Holiday”
Yet another fabulous Easter holiday at the Whitsand Bay Hotel in Cornwall. Have visited many times at Easter and in the Summer and will always return. Golf course is in fantastic condition and the new steam room, sauna and shower area is great. The weather was amazing so the children made good use of the beach - and the adults enjoyed their time in the bar and restaurant in the evening! A very welcoming hotel, we love it.
(2011)
"The Only Downside was Going Home"
We've just returned from a lovely three days with you, the hotel, the golf, the food were all excellent thanks but most importantly, the customer service and caring approach is of the highest order. Thanks Tracey, Paul and the family, you made our visit special. (2011)
“What a Fantastic Week, Fab Food, Super Golf Course & Great Family Hotel”
Just returned from Whitsand Bay Hotel after our 12th Easter break at this brilliant hotel. Our 5 yr old daughter wants to live there! Great golf course with stunning views. Food was really impressive and our family was made to feel as welcome as ever. The recently improved leisure facilities were great with the addition of a sauna and steam room plus new showers. Our kids swam in the pool every day! We have already booked to go back again. (2011)
'This Hotel is Very Special'
Our party stayed weekend – 8th-10th April 2011.I booked this for my Mum's special birthday. We were a group of several adults and 1 small child. This hotel is very special, stunning location and fabulous traditional decor which suits the large Victorian property. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our evening meal on the Saturday was delicious, everyone enjoyed what they had. My partner and I used the swimming pool with our little boy, which was great and there is also a recently refurbished sauna and steam room which my Mum used and said was lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We will be back. Keep up the good work Just to add Thank you for a lovely stay and your fantastic hospitality. Charlotte O'Neil, 2011.
"Book Yourself in Now"
Hele Park Golf Club ladies have enjoyed a March golf break at Whitsand Bay for the past 4 years. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with warmth and friendliness. Nothing is too much trouble in this lovely, gracious hotel. The food at Whitsand Bay is utterly superb, sublime, amazing. I can’t come up with enough words to describe how wonderful the food is. Our 3 night golf break included 4 games of golf, bed & breakfast, excellent sandwich lunch, afternoon tea (clotted cream heaven) and a dinner of a quality The Ivy would be proud to serve. With a choice of menu that makes you want to cry because you can’t have it all, Whitsand Bay should be proud of themselves. (Extract 2011)
'A Great Find'
My husband and I stayed 4 nights. We have travelled the world and stayed at hotels of all grades from very basic to 6 stars in Asia. What is great at the Whitsand Bay is the exceptional welcome and friendly staff/service, the location with the wonderful views and the lovely golf course. The seaview room we stayed in was spacious, well furnished with a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the hearty Cornish breakfasts as well as the 3 course dinners every night in the restaurant. What really surprised us was the very good wine list with wines from around the world, some that were not too pricy. We will definitely be going back to the Whitsand Bay and would recommend it highly as a hotel that is very friendly, welcoming and exceptional value. (Extract 2011)
'Great Hotel – would highly recommend'
My husband and I stayed at this hotel in February in the Tower Room Suite. We would not hesitate to stay at this charming family run hotel again and are indeed planning our next visit very soon. Great value, friendly staff and lovely area for walking with golf course as well, what more could you ask for. (Extract 2011)
